Rotorflush Beryl Filterpumps™. 50 Hz low head submersible filter pump with an integral self-cleaning filter on the pump suction intake. Robustly built with wear-resistant rubber and ductile iron for durability, up to 420 litres / min, max head of 17.5 m.
Beryl Filterpumps™
Beryl submersible filter pumps are compact all-purpose submersible pumps with a built-in self-cleaning intake. They are the 50Hz version of the 60 Hz Flint filter pumps. Beryls are robust medium-head, multi-stage pumps with an integral self-cleaning suction intake. Not only that, they screen dirty water as they pump - the self-cleaning intake protects against blocking.
They offer a maximum flow of 225 litres a minute for the smaller B480 model and a maximum of 420 litres a minute for the larger B800. Maximum head ranges from 11 m to 17.5 m.
Beryl Filterpumps™ are made of wear-resistant rubber and ductile iron for durability. Typical uses for Beryl Filterpumps™ are:
The filter mesh is made up of replaceable bias-cut nylon mesh, offering a very clean filtration, ideal for sampling. The inserts are inexpensive and easy to replace.
Available with 60, 115, or 300 micron aperture screens (230, 120 or 50 US Mesh screens).
Robust screen material that can be easily cleaned with a pressure washer. Ideal for heat pumps and other applications where small tolerances require finer screening.
Available with 50, 100 or 315 micron aperture screens (270, 140 and 50 US Mesh screens).
A tough coarse screen providing for low maintenance; filter pumps with coarse mesh come fitted with rubber backwash jets which are suitable for handling larger particulate and debris.
Available with 1 mm, 2 mm and 3 mm aperture screens (35, 18, 10 and 3 US Mesh screens).
These filter pumps are ideal for screening and pumping raw water for irrigation and industry, small open loop water source heat pump installations, screening industrial process water and more. For best performance, make sure that there is good clearance around the filter pump mesh so that back-washed debris can disperse, and that the filter pump is above any silt or sludge that may accumulate.
The smallest weigh in at 17 kgs, the largest at 20.5 kgs. Beryl Filterpumps™ can be suspended in tanks, sumps or ponds. They can be suspended from floats or buoys, or raised and lowered on a guide-rail system.

There is no such thing as an entirely maintenance free filter but Beryl Filterpumps™, in keeping with all Rotorflush filtration products, are designed for low maintenance hassle-free use.
The nylon mesh inserts are easily replaced, and stainless mesh can be cleaned with a pressure washer. There is a trade off between mesh size and maintenance - how often depends on your mesh size and what you are filtering.

What is the difference between a Rotorflush Filterpump™ and a filter pump?
A filter pump is a pump with a filter on the intake; a Rotorflush Filterpump™ is our unique, award-winning submersible pump with a built-in self-cleaning filter on the pump intake that keeps the intake filter clear and protects the pump from blocking and clogging.
